The term “Rudra” is derived from the Sanskrit phrase “Rutam-Dukham, Dravayati-Nashaya Titi Rudra,” which means “the one who destroys all sorrows.” Our religious texts suggest that our sins are the root cause of our sorrows, and performing Rudrabhishek is considered the supreme method of worshipping Lord Shiva. Rudra is one of the manifestations of Lord Shiva.
